Another Sunrise Poem by David Harris

Another Sunrise

Rating: 5.0

Some days I get up early
to watch the sunrise,
then sit, and watch
it set at night.
I am always at wonder
as each new day unfolds
at the beauty it brings
as it stretches across the land.

Each day we are battered
by politician’s mistakes
as they try to get
every penny out of us
to make up for
the costly waste they make.
Somehow, though we struggle
we seem to survive
to see another sunrise.
