Anton Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Anton

Anton

In front, article
-news of young gunner
- (His face round, seventeen,)
-already a killer…

Once again slaughter, USA…
-this one in Santa Fe, ten people...
-the same old story, repeated…

Darkness hides the sun out;
-I, in cave of David, Mohammad's…
-Gate is sealed with the web…
-by master architect, spider…!

Powerless and injured, entangled are insects.
-Possibly, in trance or lifeless, un-cornered!

Leap in time, sit on the ending bench.
-In front of class, blackboard…
-Our youngest classmate donned in white.

Rough are chalks and he writes…
-with left hand erases, raises dust
-as if in the cloud, smoke, fog!
-I smile at halo of the moon…

His feet are visible,
-smoke-curved-abdomen, lost and found…
-Caravans of camels in the heat of Hijaz.

He is a mystic song, dancing for Maulana!
- (comical, fantastic, animated mirage)
-Classmate's head is gone…
-His life is too foggy, foggy, fog!

He fades as tall buildings
-on Don Mills; in morning…

Cloud is powerful, intrudes
-loots the light, rapes the roads,
-the right is dictator's, no other's!

Calling names, harassments and insults:
- "Savages, Animals, Squaws…"
-Vampire with big fangs haunts preys!
-Penetrates, turns world to sky-less!

Back I am in class
-do not see classmate…

Return to article
-in fog is Santa Fe
-see Anton fatherless…

Recall him when posing as boxer
- (trained by his father…)

Russian is his mother
-displaced, refugee, hi father
-who as a child has ended in exile,
-to lose touch with culture of Afghans.
-Plenty are victims of the fights
-of pillars; Washington and Moscow!
- (either one has allies!)

They gallop, and we fall!
They gallop, and we fall!
They gallop, and we fall!

Anton and his father's family
-are the dust of the chalk
-in class, in the fog, in mirage.

The ground is fertile
- "Hate, dislike…"

"Hate, dislike…"
"Hate, dislike…"
"Hate, dislike…"

The gunners are on rise!
-Vehicles drive on the sidewalks!
-Flags bear children, multiply!
-The "Hate" signs, slogans!
