Apart From A Part Poem by Evelyn Norcott

Apart From A Part

Rating: 5.0

My relationship with you, Lord
Is either overwhelming,
Overflowing tears
and a heart full of joy.
In a barn, half of night outside,
Christ's love and fairy lights.

Or an unknowing, empty silence in
the peace-less pit of my stomach
the quiet numbing of loneliness
in desolation.

How can I feel completely apart from You?
Then entirely a part of You?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

holding onto faith is something I seem to struggle with.
The pit of my stomach could just be hunger, but its a loss of Him too.
Please come back to me, Lord, I cannot hear you.

Relationship with Lord is eternal. In silence we feel life well. This is an interesting poem shared here..10
