Appetite, Nor Joy In Bite Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Appetite, Nor Joy In Bite

Sighed, a mosquito mare:

Alas, but for this new virus scare,
What a talk-of-town we ever were!
I've lost my appetite,
There's no more joy in bite,
Wonder when would things return as ere.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Only a few weeks back, mosquitoes were such talk of the town that ruled daily life. But now they seem to have lost their crown to Corona. But I am waiting for the day Corona would be part of the common gang that cause flu.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Valsa George 14 April 2020

There was a time when we feared mosquitoes the most! Now they have lost their crown as kings of mass killing and Coronavirus has usurped the throne now! Yes.... we are waiting for the reinforcement of power of the lesser dangerous enemy! A beautiful and interesting limerick!
