Appliscious Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Appliscious

Apple blossoms fall
Covering ground with petals
Drifting into spring

Warm sun bathes greenness
Small round fruits develop fast
Adolescents blush

Ripe redness signals
An eagerness for picking
Placed into baskets

Carried to market
Polished to a high luster
Shouting buy me now!

Solid to the touch
Juicy and sweet to the bite
Core is tossed with seeds

Consumed and enjoyed
Satisfying a craving
Lip smacking tasty
