Arguably Problematic Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Arguably Problematic

What is it that is left to value.
What is it moralistic,
Left to compare that appalls to standards kept.
And what has become of those standards,
Long disrespected to expect them obeyed.
When examples of correctness to expect this,
Is more discussed by those disgusted.
More today in arguably problematic ways.
That has made it easier,
To excuse responsibility...
And accountability for one's actions.
With it done to blame someone else,
For their inability to comprehend and understand...
How a lack of discipline and a dysfunctional childhood,
Has left them with a reason to be thoughtless.
Self serving, bigoted and less concerned for others.
Leaving them with beliefs they are entitled,
To mistreat and abuse whomever they choose.
With embellished delusions.
Created to imagine than in reality to live.
This is a mental illness,
Accepted and reflects a 'normalcy'...
That has today become the 'rage'.
Everyone feels left out,
If not actively participating!
