*argue With A Tree (A Response To Mother)

Rating: 2.8

Look. and speak
But mostly listen
For what you do not observe and do not say
What you believe cannot see or talk
The only thing that is more real than yourselves
That is always around, watching
Faintly burning in the brush
Quietly dissolving in the rain
The toxins you produce will not silence me
But I need your help
The problem lies at my heals
While the solution jumps at your fingertips
It is not impossible to reverse the irreversible
To save what is itself solely keeping you alive
Look. and speak
But mostly listen
For it would appear rather absurd
To be arguing with a tree.
