Around My Window Is A Frame Poem by gershon hepner

Around My Window Is A Frame

Around my window is a frame
through which I do not see the same
as you do when you look beyond
the limits of which I am fond.

Without the frame you may feel free,
as from perimeters you flee,
lacking limits that enhance
the view with patterns that entrance.

View everything and what you see,
opaque in its transparency,
wants clarity, eluding word
for what, without the frame, is blurred.

See everything without the frame
and you see nothing with a name,
for if no patterns shape your sight
your fantasy can take no flight.

Don't see the world with patterns I
can see, but make a frame and try
to find your own when through your glass
light power, mc squared, would pass.
