Art For The Taking Poem by Ima Ryma

Art For The Taking

Rating: 5.0

I am an art thief now retired,
A long profitable career.
At a young age I was inspired,
Make masterpieces disappear.
I found I had that magic touch,
No matter what security
Had all the museums and such.
I planned the theft then made it be.
I do know of one case in point,
A famous masterpiece I stole.
Museum's pride got out of joint,
But coverup is now the goal.

Each morning I wake up and see
Mona Lisa smiling at me.
