Artificial Eden: Torn Between Light And Dark Poem by DM W

Artificial Eden: Torn Between Light And Dark

O my aching heart;
Torn between light and dark
Perhaps tonight I might feel
The pure light descend on me.
Perhaps tonight I might see
The darkness that's inside of me.

Refuse to die - drift with the wind;
Refuse to fade away.
Let me glimpse frail rays of sunshine
On a rainy day.
Let me touch the earth and hold it close.
May sweet violets of Spring bloom and grow.

Perhaps tonight that I might feel.
The flashing light come down on me.
Perhaps tonight I might see
The bleak darkness depart from me.

We must stand still in the chaos
Of our shattered pieces;
Feel the pain of our brokenness;
Before we can return to Light;
So lost are we in the soul's dark night.
