As Colour In A Blackbirds Song Poem by Egal Bohen

As Colour In A Blackbirds Song

The Earth and we
Are fragile made
We see just what
We want explained
We look so hard
The road we tread
We miss the turning
Through the hedge

Hosts of mirrors
Block our gaze
Crystal glitters
In the shade
Where heavens light
Is made to bend
Preserving
Innocence
Defend
Yet penetrate
Turn left
And then
Turn left
Across the bridge
Again
To places where
Your spirit
May transcend
Where concepts
Become real
When now
Is then
To levels where
Your dreams belong
All vibrant
In reality
Seen all the ways
You want to see
As colour
In a blackbirds song...

The Earth and we
Are fragile made
We see just that
We want explained
Don’t look so hard
The road you tread
You miss the turning
Through the hedge……
