As I Cry Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

As I Cry

Rating: 3.5

I cry for sons of soil
who did all in their power to foil
the sinister design to foil

Do we ever shed tears?
for those who lay their lives and bear
all pain and ordeals with all fears

Are we not undoing the sacred promise
to hold on together and unitedly rise
against the sinister plot to cause surprise

Why blame forces when we make hell?
pelt the stones and unnecessary kill
do they come as picinic person?

Are we above the sacred mother land?
what are we doing to remove foes from frinds?
can we not shut the doors for them and end?

Can we kill our own mother?
and worry for unfriendly others
no sacrirfice is greater to bother

It is not khakhi menace
We are pushing them into furnace
They die for cause never to surface

What are we trying to show?
Mud and only insults to throw
I shed my tears and allow to flow

I am not helpless
The peace has to ascend unless
Ugly crisis we altogher face
