As I'm Leaving Poem by Ronald Strickland

As I'm Leaving

Rating: 5.0

When I leave, do not say goodbye,
for i will always be by your side.

I'll be the morning sun to fill with
warmth, much like our memories that
will surely brighten your day.

I'll be the stars that fill the heavens,
much like the love that filled our hearts,
falling in love beneath them.

I'll be the moon that tucks you in at night,
remembering our love had a much brighter glow.

I'll be the rain needed for the beauty
of flowers as they grow, much like the beauty
each time I looked at you as our love bloomed.

I'll be the wind that blows, making tree tops dance.
much like my heart and thoughts when they dances
with you.

When I leave, don't say goodbye.

In your heart, I will always be, as long as
you hold a place for me.
