As If It Were A Dove

Clouds called my heart
As if it were a dove
Fluttering in the tree of my life
Do not depart my soul too early
I light the candle of the lantern moon
It sways through the ebony trees
And is crowned by this sunset alone
Of colours indisputably from the Renaissance
My heart is a dove
Captive on the earth
That croons over the dark waters
It flutters mothlike near the stars
In all my dreams configured
Where Icarus keeps falling from the skies
And there are no nets of light
To drain the seas for him,
Oh jade wave…
