As Robins Greet The Dawn, A Heart Song Poem by Glen Kappy

As Robins Greet The Dawn, A Heart Song

Rating: 5.0

As robins greet the dawn
so would I greet you, O God.

As morning echoes with their fervent song
so would I sing in your presence.

When light appears and robins shout
they mean it.

Nearer, further, loud and long
it's the song of them dependent on it.

As robins greet the dawn
so would I thank and praise you.

Such a sweet greeting! The Robin greets the dawn while you praise the Lord for his generosity. Loved the poem with a full 10+++

thank you, geeta. i very much appreciate your affirmation. this is also one of the favorite things of mine i've written. as it happened, on the same day, i also wrote as the homely but happy music of a wooden flute, another of my heart songs. -glen
