As The Sudden-Downpour Poem by Neela Nath Das

As The Sudden-Downpour

Rating: 5.0

Your absence
lies in me
like coiled-warmth.
I bask me under the
coziness of your
forgotten-love.
Do you know, every object
of nature cheers
me up beause, I sense
the same joy what I felt
years ago, forbidden
and much daring,
to enliven
my dead-leaves
of emotion?
It's as the sudden
down-pour after a
hot and dusty day.
I have no right
to hide it from
me and from my
inner-self.
You may choose
your way, you
can set your bad-days
free from my stuffy
fetters, but, I'll remain
the same, as stubborn
as the cyclone,
as inevitable
as fate!
