As We Get Older Poem by Hebert Logerie

As We Get Older

As we get older and wiser
Many friends have gone
With the laughs and the fun
Loneliness and sickness set in
As we get older and weaker.

As we older and leaner
Many friends can no longer run
And play in the summer sun
Arthritis and flabbiness walked in
As we become less muscular.

As we get older and weaker
Many friends are gone
Especially, under the full moon
When comes a new season
As we get older and sicker.
