As You Possibly Can Poem by Francis Duggan

As You Possibly Can

The longest lived human life in real time not a long span
On average a few years more for a woman than it is for a man
And though people seem to age quickly and lose their youthful elan
You should live for as long as you possibly can
Though life for you now may be on the side of tough
Live for as long as you can you will be dead long enough
You may not be looked on as a financial or material success
But life is the greatest gift anyone does possess
Since few wish to know of the poor of the town
It is hard to feel positive when you are financially down
But hope springs eternal as the wise one does say
And better times for you may not be far away
And since the longest lived human life in real time not a long span
Do live for as long as you possibly can.
