In the darkness of the cave
To discover the meaning of life
I sought you as the light that guided my path
In the deluge of emotions
Pointing me to the brink of destruction
I sought you as the lifebuoy that floated me
In the barren desert
Amidst the thirst of opportunities
I sought you as the mirage that gave me some hope
In the silence of the night
When confronted with the horrors of wrongs I did
I sought you as the voice of wind that soothed me
In an unknown city
Lost in confusion
I sought you as the stranger that smiled with me
Even though, I know you have other engagements
And prayers to attend to
I still seek you for the courage the seeking gives me
