She said that she would stay at my side
She said that I always brought her pride,
Secrets from her I would not ever hide
She said once that our souls were tied.
Unto her I would always confide
To trust her I would not ever have to decide,
On the wings of love we both did ride
She was loves truest guide.
She told me for love before many times she tried
She told me from faith she was then pried,
Her heart one day just withered and dried
She then told me that my love for her purified.
For her I always and happily did provide
In my soul she was always a lady and dignified,
She then once again did backslide
I wanted her to be my bride.
She was there when I had first sighed
She was there when I had last cried,
And I was always there when she deceitfully lied;
She wasn't there when I died.
