At The Beginning Of The Night Watching The Wedding

★ At the Beginning of the Night Watching the Wedding

☆ Poetry by Yang Shidao (? -647, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

In Luo city fancy candles wave
A girl of the imperatorial relative painting her new eyebrows
It should be a habit to hide after a fan in shame
In love a lot of sorrows
Softly weep wets the pink face
With a leer a little opening her eyes
The voice like Wushan Music
The dusk rain passes from the sky

◆ Chinese Text

★ 初宵看婚

☆ 杨师道 诗

洛城花烛动
戚里画新蛾
隐扇羞应惯
含情愁已多
轻啼湿红粉
微睇转横波
更笑巫山曲
空传暮雨过
