there was that old man
who studied the bible, lots
of theology,
a pastor, i guess, advising
a young woman, with curly long
hair,
whose marriage is on the
rocks, i could hear it clearly,
when he said,
no guy will ever satisfy you,
if you leave him now, you'll find
another, then another then
another...

try Christ.
he looks at her
she looks at him
attentively,

and it echoes
throughout the room,
like a dove, flapping
its wings
bringing the advice
of the old pastor...

try Christ. He overflows.
