At Their Own Cost Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

At Their Own Cost

It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

What one did to others to do.

It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

A wrong chosen meant to choose.
As time moves on from a doing long gone.
That could have been prevented,
But that wasn't the intent.

Well...
It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

Who remains to stay unchanged.
And,
It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

Who it is heard to blame,
A game played loved...
Has left them in pain.

That doesn't matter 'now' does it?

Who feels remorse at their own cost.
It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

The cause.
And its effectiveness.

It doesn't matter 'now' does it?

Who feels remorse at their own cost.
The cause.
And its effectiveness!

This...
Shouldn't matter now.
No.
It shouldn't matter now.
This...
Shouldn't matter now.
No.
It shouldn't matter now.
This...
Shouldn't matter now!
