Attempted But Not Done Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Attempted But Not Done

Many are heard to hear,
What it is a unity can accomplish.
And some amongst them will agree.
Yet the few who pay attention,
With a making of progress to want.
Discover soon,
They can find better use of their time.
To know what it takes to make progress.
Instead of wasting their minds listening,
Repeatedly hearing...
The ones talking about themselves.
And what 'they' attempted to do in the past.
But could not get done.
Because others with unity to wish this,
Were not prepared to move forward.
Or knew what a unity meant,
To cement it before progress can be made.
