Attraction Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Attraction

Rating: 5.0

Attraction is not permanent;
it's a reflex action
born at that mind-boggling moment
with a living being
or a non-living object
something in the childhood attracts
but not so afterwards
attraction may be for a short while
or can linger for more
the same person or object
loses lustre
with the passage of time
when one is reminded of it
at a later date
it may appear foolish
rain has just stopped...
look at the green leaves
look so fresh and attractive
but appear dull in a sunny afternoon
it's not the lack of wisdom
it's the polarizing effect
between molecules
between one and the other
principally through the eyes:
look may be superficial
covering external features
but may not be skin deep
attraction may not be sustainable
but can work wonders
in any dull system
burdened with endless problems
the varying degree of attraction
suggests one thing:
attraction, a natural instinct
detachment can overcome attraction.

Although attraction is a attraction and a natural instinct still it is true that detachment can overcome attraction. It is not permanent and it is just a reflex action. Green leaves better know about this truth. Dull sunny afternoon still attracts us. An amazing and brilliant poem is excellently penned...10
