Auction For My Heart... - Poem by Nidhi Dev
Our eyes met often, but our hearts never did,
I have auctioned my heart and hope you'll buy it in this life's bid...
You searched different paths, but knew not the one to mine,
How could you imagine you would have to pay a late-buy fine?
'Good night' means 'I love you' now, that I can no longer tell you so,
'Hello' says 'I missed you so much, dear', though never again will I say so...
I want to catch a glimpse of you at least,
on the look of your laugh, your enchanting smile, I want to feast...
This is all I can do, all I can say, for the heavy price that my love has cost,
Though it kills me to say, but still I have not hesitated,
that may it be summer, winter and frost,
I sing your song alone that my love for you has created..
