Australia - The Heat Shimmers On The Plain Poem by Paul Warren

Australia - The Heat Shimmers On The Plain

The heat shimmers on the plain
The sky is steely blue in its refrain
The needed rain seems far away
As the summer for a time will stay

It's hot even in the tree's shade
As lounging at the beach means we have it made
But we are looking for a sea breeze this afternoon
And sometimes we say the winter can't come too soon.
