Autumn Sets In Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Autumn Sets In

Rating: 5.0

The brown leaves have fallen
There is a touch of cold in the air
The sun goes down a little early
The orange ball has got a pale glare

Above the hills the sky is clear
The lone star comes out too soon
A shade of silver appears in the east
Giving clue to the birth of a lovely moon

The shepherd has already left
The vale and on his way to home
Amidst meandering cotton clouds in
The sky with fading light a few birds roam

Smoke from rooftops rises up
To hang thick a while and vanish
Water in the pond is still and shines
A piece of glass with an elegant finish

The picturesque earth displays
All features exquisite and grand
A vivid show of colors and patterns
Goes on as autumn sets in across the land
