I sat on my porch one evening
There was a chill now in the air
The birds were tweeting softly
In the trees as they nested there.
The sun had dropped way down
On the horizon bright and bold
I'll tell you, I was astounded
As I watched the evening unfold.
The earthy fragrances were perfect
To set the scene for me
A dampness with the evening chill
Colorful leaves drifting aimlessly.
A peacefulness settled in my bones
It is the way I always get
When I take the time to enjoy
The beautiful autumn sunset.
A peacefulness is settled truly in mind to enjoy and revive autumn trust. This poem is an excellent poem beautifully penned. Fantastic sunset picture is beautifully presented as cover is heart touching. Sun has dropped down the peaceful rays.10
