Autumn Soup Poem by Marilyn Lott

Autumn Soup

Rating: 5.0

I always start out with a kettle
A good sized pan for me
A cutting board and knife I need
I chop very carefully

I have a pile of veggies
My garden’s last embrace
Sweet and oh, so flavorful
Will be the final taste

Onions caramelized and sweet
Carrots crisp and nice
My herbs from the garden too
To add a little spice

Garlic adds its special flavor
Chopping celery I hear the crunch
I like it in fairly small pieces
So delicious too to munch

Tomatoes from my garden now
In the oven first to roast
That adds a special kind of taste
That I so love the most

Perhaps I add a chicken breast
And chicken stock as well
I put the lid on tightly now
So my soup can start to swell

Ah yes, the fragrance of my soup
Is such a joy to me
Autumn is the time to enjoy
My soup so deliciously!

It is so nice, I can enjoy the taste and flavor of your Autumn Soup sitting 10000 Km away. You seem to be a perfect cook in kitchen as well as on PH, lol. Perfect in rhyme rhythm and flow. CP
