Awakening Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Awakening

Rating: 4.5

The awakening!
Chicago Water Tower;
Determination,
Solitude,
From the earth;
Love,
Safe in her arms of peace.
Nature!
White tulips;
I feel better in my heart because,
You do not hate me.
Rest, best!
Full circle;
View! !
Crystal Blue Lake;
Moore, more!
The first stand;
Teller,
Tender,
A myriad of colours.
Deep!
Deep down;
Deep under,
Looking into the sea of love.

Awakening is a poem which celebrates the beauty of life - this precious gift. As readers, we are prompted to open both our eyes and hearts in order to rejoice and marvel at the myriad of colours and feelings that surround us. Life is a journey of discovery, a deep plunge into the sea of love.10+++
