Baby Don't You Come Poem by Dorsey Baker

Baby Don't You Come

Rating: 5.0

Baby don't you come
Don't you come
Baby turn that ship around
Don't you come

Too much sleet upon the street
Too much snow
Upon the ground
Baby don't you come
Don't you come
Turn that ship around
Baby don't you come

My knife it just ain't sharp enough
To cut that meat
And my yardstick
It ain't got no feet
Feel just like wintertime
Because
I just cannot feel the heat
My dog ain't got no teeth
And he cannot
Bite the bone
Ain't no fire in the fireplace
So baby you better
Turn that ship around
Turn that ship around
And don't you come!
