Back Door Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Back Door

Rating: 5.0

I had to reach the big hall in time,
But I couldn't,
I arrived late due to some unavoidable circumstances,
The door was closed,
Someone advised me
To enter the hall stealthily through the back door,
But I denied and came back home,
They criticised me and said that I was wrong,
My conscience assured me that I was absolutely right.

Backdoor entry is generally considered inauspicious. But morally you were right. It shows the character of a man vis-a-vis convenence. Nicely articulated poem.
