Back In The Sixties - Poem by Dorsey Baker

Back in the Sixties
Back in the Sixties
Fast living
Hard drinking
Hard drugs
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was

Loud music
Sex on the run
Thinking that today
is forever
and tomorrow
will never come
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was

Young and full of
energy to burn
The clock is ticking
and the hands of the clock
they turn
So much we did
and didn't learn
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was
Back in the Sixties
thats the way it was!

The memoirs of the distant past throws light on realization of having grown-up and in a mood to tell stories to gen next. Enjoyed since sailing in same boat. Thanks for sharing. (Report) Reply
