Bad Faith & Ennui Poem by DM W

Bad Faith & Ennui

O you may dwell like a nouveau-riche queen
In a garish gated community,
Yet bad faith is nailed to your doors and walls!
Ennui seeps out from under your floorboards.
It's not hard to gauge your moves and your mind.
You are oblivious to warning signs.
You may think you have made it and know where
It's at, but novelty clings to despair,
And all the dreams you chased over the years.
Will inevitably turn to nightmares.
