Baker's Dozen Poem by Heaven Kalu

Baker's Dozen

A purebliss for a soul
Sits in the comfort of a charade
Parades her beauty amongst the stars
Perfect in the glory of her flaws
Speaks while the universe listens

Cos her words are benign to raging heart
Words that soothes the complexities of another
Cascading like the Assop waterfall
Serenading the aroma of life.
Yet...

Ignorant of the wiles of a bloke
Bought over by the sweetest of his charms
Left the walls of her heart unguided
Now arraigned by her love for a soul mate
Prosecuted by her emotions for longing
Victimized by her irrevocable feelings
And deflowered at a Bakers Dozen.
