Ballad Of Billy Albertina - Poem by Tom Allport

In 1984 Billy Albertina
Was sent to jail
Because of Thatcher's
Dishonest Tale
He and 36 others
Were innocent men
Their only crime
Way back then
Was to make a stand
By going on strike
To save their jobs
And Cammell Laird's plight.

Topic(s) of this poem: jobs

Form: Light Verse
