Barak Obama Poem by Ramona Thompson

Barak Obama

Inspired by those who heartly dislike Obama

Black men need not apply for this white house
A winner this man will never be
Run all you want, but still you'll never come that far
A little bit only of our almighty power and glory will we ever spare to your kind
Kings and queens of the rap and ghetto worlds is the very best we can allow you to do

Oh so close, yet still forever your skin color will keep you oh so far away
Made only to be the pawns of the white goverment that secretly controls your every move
An example by his loss let this one be to you
Made a stand to reach higher than you are dared to allow and embrassed your family beyond all human imagination
A lesson the darker skined ones of us could well learn before it's too late

2008 Ramona Thompson
