Barely a day; Yes, just a day
With words the changes; Oh, they came
Who knew surprisingly little could be spoken so well
Trust seemed broken before love fell

Tell me dear lover, Please do tell
Was mine, not mine in love as well
Did all fail because one' gave too much
Your tender tones and gentle touch

Dear mine, shall I no longer adore
And all that was, become no more
Now seems so dreamlike and unsure
Before the change; My love so pure
