Be Your Everything - Poem by Josh Burnett

I have never fallen so hard,
As I have for you,
And you're making me want to be,
Everything you'll ever need.
I have never had such a crush,
And I'm on the brink of like and love.
I was never the type to believe,
But you're making a believer out of me.
Lady you make it plain,
That there's something in your eyes I can't explain.
We may never be together for the rest of our life,
But I'm going to try and make it work between you and I.

I'm going to make you fall in love with me.
I'm not going to quit until we can be.
I'm going to make you see.
That I would be your everything.

I want you to be my dance.
Just give me a single chance,
And I'll never break your love.
I'll never make you shed another tear.
I'll cast away all your fear.
So you don't have to dream another nightmare.
I just want you to know.
I'll never let you go.
I'll be standing here forever.
So we can love each other together.

I'm going to make you fall in love with me.
I'm not going to quit until we can be.
I'm going to make you see.
That I would be your everything.

I know what you say.
I just broke and I'm not ready,
But isn't it better to try.
So you can fly,
Then to deal with the pain,
And go through the hurting rain.

I'm going to make you fall in love with me.
I'm not going to quit until we can be.
I'm going to make you see.
That I would be your everything.
