Becoming A Bully Poem by Randy McClave

Becoming A Bully

He's a bully just for fun
But, when he gets confronted he grabs a gun,
A gun is his only might
With his own two fists he's always afraid to fight.
Once he never made racist remarks or spoke a bullying word
Once he never did act angry or even spurred,
Never did he even let out a hateful sigh
But, only when there was no gun nowhere nearby.
He now carries a gun because it makes him brave
Now that extra attention he does continually crave,
He doesn't ever go to the library or ever to the gym
He instead patrols the street while carrying a gun with him.
Sometimes he thinks and visualizes that he's a cop
And when there's a disturbance he is there on top,
He thinks that he's a sheriff with a badge and a gun in his holster
Now with his weapon he wants to bolster.
Sometimes he also thinks that he's a soldier man
Maybe he thinks he's patrolling the streets as if in Afghanistan,
He's patrolling the streets and he's ready to shoot
He's waiting for a fight or maybe someone giving him the boot.
He now also carries a gun always in his car
And he carries one with him whether he's near or far,
And when children are out screaming and playing
I wonder is he ever thinking about a slaying.
He never puts his faith in the law or even in almighty God
If he did so, he wouldn't be carrying his rod,
He is a brave man and from a stranger he won't ever hide
But, only when he has a gun at his side.
