Because We Deserve It.
Yes, let's colour our hair.
Choose clothes with care.
Eat the right food.
We deserve to look good.
Let's look young for our age.
We're all at that stage.
Fix on that smile.
We deserve all this style.
But let's look inside
At the hurt we all hide.
Does our heart need some aid?
We deserve that re-made.
Let's look deeper, and start
With our 'make-over' heart.
Let's not settle for just 'show'.
We're worth it you know! !
If we begin to forgive.
To live - - and let live.
Beauty then will refine
We deserve hearts that shine.
So let's work inside-out.
Learn what real life's about
Before it's too late.
We deserve to FEEL great.
A fantastic piece of advice in this aesthetic, synthetic era. A 'make-over heart' - I like it. 'So let's work inside-out' is a wonderful line. This poem is wise, lyrical and innovative - I thoroughly enjoyed it. S :)

I really like this, it's a great piece. I like that it's lyrical, and sounds strangely commercial. You sell feeling good like marketers sell looking good, which is a nice twist. Good job.
