Because You Were Asleep Poem by Bidisha Sharaf

Because You Were Asleep

Rating: 5.0

You are not going to wake up,

No matter how many times I call you.

Your body is not asleep

But your mind is in hibernation.

You are not going to wake up

You said your priority is not that right now.

You are in deep sleep because

You hate this sunshine or that moonlit night!

You are not going to wake up

As you need not to answer this call.

You require a sweeter one; maybe

That like a tuned ukulele

Not this one like a chirping bird.

No matter, how many times I call you,

You are not going to wake up.
