Beetle Movement Poem by Ima Ryma

Beetle Movement

You do call us Stygoporus
Oregonensis - a long name
For a small beetle - first found us
In Oregon, when out we came
Into a bathtub from below
In an aquifer underground.
Why we showed up there - we don't know.
Puzzled humans when we were found.
Next time the humans found us, we
Were in a Texas aquifer.
Puzzled humans, who seem to be
Easily puzzled, that's for sure.

Moved to Texas from Oregon.
Taxes were less, so we moved on.
