Before Sunrise I Lay Sleeping Peacefully Poem by Gert Strydom

Before Sunrise I Lay Sleeping Peacefully

Rating: 3.0

Before sunrise I lay sleeping peacefully
when you awake me
and outside the stars glitter in the dark beyond
while the moon shine silver-white.

Carefully I try to read the signs,
see the lines that only I know,
there is something in the intimacy
and your green-brown eyes gleam tenderly.
