Begging It To Be Gone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Begging It To Be Gone

Begging it to be gone.
What is going on to be wrong.
More are begging it gone.
What's been going on for too long.

Minds are sickened by conflicts.
They didn't start to begin with.
Yet many just sat to sit.
Believing it soon would quit.
But here it is still sittin'.
As if it fits to belong.

Begging it to be gone.
What is going on to be wrong.
More are begging it gone.
What's been going on too long.

Corruption harvested like crops.
From the bottom to the top.
And getting into the heads.
Of the kids everywhere on the streets found dead.
Born and introduced to confusion.
Overdosing on a life they've been taught to delude.

Begging it to be gone.
What's been going on for too long.
More are begging it gone.
What they know now for them is wrong.
Many more are begging it gone.
Conflicts.
Many more are begging it gone.
Confusion.
Many more are begging it gone.
The madness.
Many more are begging it gone.
The sadness.
Many more are begging it gone.
Corruption.
Many more are begging it gone.
Destruction.
Many more are begging it gone.
The pain.
Many more are begging it gone.
The pain.
Many more are begging it gone.
Many more are begging it gone.
Many more are begging it gone.
Many more are begging it gone.
