Wide open
Nor leave the door
Completely shut
Leave it ajar

Don't play too hard
Don't sway afar
Don't cry too high
Don't swim too deep

Don't be too shy
Don't fly too high
Don't be a wolf
Don't be a sheep

Don't be too good
Don't be too bad

Don't pray too much
Don't be too happy
Don't be too sad
Don't be a thief
Don't be an angle
Don't be extreme
In all you say
And all you do
Be in the centre
Not too modest
Not too naughty
Be in the Middle
of all things
Be not too short
Be not too long
Don't be too sweet
You'llbe swollen
Don't be too bitter
You'll be thrown

Don't you see
Your five fingers?
Whichis the strongest?
Whichis the longest?
The one in the midst
