Being Of Various Kinds The Women Dight Poem by Kinsley Lee

Being Of Various Kinds The Women Dight

Su-Jang Kim

Being of various kinds the women dight.

Some resembled peregrines,
some perched on wires like swallows,
some were like cranes in a garden full of flowers,
some resembled mandarin ducks on the blue waves,
some were like kite squatting firmly on the ground, and
some were like owls perched on rotting beams.

Yet,
each received love from their beloved, so one might think that
each was an exceptional beauty in her own right.
