Being Stronger Poem by Randy McClave

Being Stronger

If what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Then I certainly will live a little bit longer,
Even though there is an extra ache
I have taken what many can't take.
Yes, I have pushed myself to the limits
Sometimes in hours, and sometimes in minutes,
But, indeed I have salways went those few extra feet
And never not once, did I seek defeat.
Yes it was hard sometimes to do what I did
But, to give up, that thought I would always forbid,
I did a few more reps and I went a few more rounds
And then when I lifted, I lifted a few more pounds.
Now when I look at myself in the mirror
I see no weakness, and I do not see or feel any fear,
No longer do I feel like a deductible
I now feel indeed, that I am indestructible.
