Believeth Nevermore Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Believeth Nevermore

Anon enough shall ever transcend
This, upon a lifelong burden
Failing mine, once possessed
Mine, immediately to be forgotten

A dream with a wish once prayed
There within are the hopes for thee
Whispering like a gentle breeze
Shall be heard beyond the tears they bring

Near, Where loving colors fade
Before the darkness conjuring
Laid down, are swords of babble
Life given change for memories

Hearken nae for love- Her promise stings
For Thine is never more
Within once was, now is lost
Believeth nevermore
